Hi my name is Mikey Katz. I am a videographer and editor at Smart Marketing. I graduated from Rowan University in 2022. My interest in film started around when I was 12 years old when I got my first GoPro. I made snowboard, cliff jumping, and wakeboarding edits. When I am not behind lens, you can find me surfing, snowboarding, traveling, wakeboarding, and eating.

 

The first editing software I used was iMovie, but then as I started to get more into filming, I purchased a more advanced editing software Final Cut Pro. Final Cut has allowed me to get creative and really make an impact on the audience.

Ever since high school, I have been living around the world making travel edits and films with professional surfers and snowboarders. My favorite part about the video/editing process is finding music that really gives the audience the feeling that they are there in the moment while viewing the edit.

 

Smart Marketing has given me the place to turn my hobbies of video creation into an actual career. Finding different ways to make a video creative and different has challengeed me, but it always is a fun process. I love my clients and working with Smart Marketing!
